About Adele Ohs

Adele Ohs has been a lifelong creative and has dabbled in arts and crafts for decades. Raised by a master seamstress mother, Adele designed and executed unique clothing for herself while working as a costumer and a dancer. She has worked with stained glass, beaded jewelry, fiber arts, but had never ventured into painting until six years ago.

She works primarily in watercolor. Always exploring, collage and mixed media are beckoning to her.

“I have fun watching paintings emerge from my brushes, pens, paper, paste—whatever. I relish the joy I experience in the creation and discovery of making art—trying new ways of making a painting, accepting the challenge to do ‘it’ differently, venturing beyond the familiar, finding a voice and an eye that belongs to me. Making art is making life.”
