The Flowers Are Talking!

I am exploring the joy and fun through my current series of colorful floral still lifes. My acrylic paintings on 11” x 14” canvases and 12” x 12” mixed media wood panels bring a sense of fun, whimsy and a touch of sarcasm to everyday life. Each arrangement of flowers and their vases creates a conversation bursting with personality and charm. I experience them as my pets… talking back to me with their innocent wisdom and sense of humor.

Some of the wood panels have dyed tissue & painted papers. These are infused in the artwork creating a soft texture and depth to the flat panels. This technique not only enhances the visual appeal but also symbolizes the layers of emotion that flowers convey.

In a world which often feels complicated and chaotic I invite you to pause and listen to what flowers have to say. And even flowers which have been cut off from their living roots ARE still able to pay attention to their surroundings and bring joy to our world. Let their colors, shapes and textures transport you to a place of wonder to reflect that every living being in nature’s beauty can speak volumes.
