About Antonia Price

Antonia Price is an artist and an educator based in Sacramento. Her work centers on fiber arts and traditional handwork. She makes abstract sculpture and teaches fiber art techniques.

Originally from Oregon, Antonia lived in Seattle and Los Angeles before settling in Sacramento. She has always lived and worked in the arts, both visual and movement. For her creative expression is essential to understanding the world.

Antonia's artistic practice is her way of quieting a busy mind. The slow, meditative stitches build into twisting, complex designs over weeks and month in the studio. The resulting sculptures draw the eyes inward in a reflection of that meditative process. Teaching is her way of connecting to community and passing along the techniques she inherited from her teachers and their teachers before them.

Currently she teaches classes in hand work around Sacramento and works out of her home studio while raising her two young children.
