About Jeff Myers
Jeff Myers is a national-level artist that has been exhibiting in top-end art galleries since the age of 15. Myers grew up in a creative environment, both of his parents built a photographic archive of the West that Ansel Adams helped to start. Myers works with a variety of subject matter and visual strategies, in the "Body Environment Series" Myers explores the interrelationship of life-size figures with endangered environments that run through the body. In "The Land Series" large antiquated farm machinery is juxtaposed with miniature busy public spaces such as Grand Central Station. After establishing his work in California with many exhibitions and critical reviews of his work, Myers moved to New York where he worked on the "Undercurrent Project" in which a series of portraits of people in their work environments from the fashion and art worlds were painted on three-dimensional aluminum. With a collector base across the country as well as in Europe and over 45 one-person exhibitions and fifty critical reviews, Myers continues to explore and innovate in paint and mixed media from his hometown in Sacramento California.
