About Linda Nunes

Linda is an award winning artist who grew up in California’s Bay Area and is best known for her abstract or surreal encaustic or cold wax/oil paintings. Her art journey has taken her through collage, acrylic, cold wax and encaustic, an ancient and luminous bee’s wax and resin process. Her contemporary style moves to a playful life tune. You may recognize elements of home, the human condition and often, a little foolishness. Her gallery work is primarily on gallery-quality cradled wood panels using a variety of mixed media.

Linda has produced several permanent/public art projects including a Sacramento light rail train, eight utility boxes, curbside ceramic mosaics as well as large mural commissions at Milestone Restaurant in El Dorado Hills and Sims, Lawrence & Arruti Law office in Roseville. Her work has been shown throughout California as well as Chicago, Santa Fe, Dallas and Italy.

Linda’s art degree is from CSU, Sacramento. She works from her studio in Rancho Cordova, California where she lives with her husband and a curious and overly friendly feline named Ira Solomon Nunes. Workshop information, demonstrations, events and additional artwork can be viewed at her website:
