Award winning Set in Stone (2024), which will be featured at the MACC for the Weekend 2 Kick-off Party, was inspired by fanciful figures in a granite rock face and by the many world cultures whose mythologies include stories of people—often women—who are literally turned into stone either for “protection” or punishment. The piece asks us to question "Are women's roles still 'set in stone'?" Framed and unframed prints will be available at my venue in Elk Grove during Weekend 2.

Evandalism (2026), which will be showing and available for sale at the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center in September 2026, responds to concerns about censorship and the erosion of intellectual freedom, as well as the increasing presence of religious authority in spaces meant to serve a diverse public.

Garden Goddess (2026), which received an Award of Excellence at the EGFAC People, Places, and Things Show, is a semi-abstract, semi-self, mostly tongue-in-cheek version of myself and my passion--gardening—represented by the goddess’s tomato cage body laden with some of the produce and flowers I grow. It showcases the type of commissions I do, melding a person's face with a body comprised of his or her passion/hobby/interest.

Papa Guitar (2025) was painted on commission for a friend, melding his face with the body representing his passion for guitar and for Picasso-esque cubist style.

Cyclops Revisited: Rust in Peace (2026), a semi-abstract featuring a single headlamp on the rusting hood of an a vintage truck, juxtaposes the mechanical and the natural, suggesting that man-made objects ultimately fail and are reclaimed by nature. The original painting, double matted and framed with museum quality glass, and unframed prints will be available at my tour venue on Weekend 2.

Part of a series of paintings on vintage sheet music, Bumblebee Ballet (2026) features the young modern ballet dancer on music from the past. The original will be available at the Verge Center for the Arts for a month starting September 10. Matted prints will be available at my tour venue on Weekend 2.

B-Girl Boogie (2026) fuses the structured rhythm of vintage sheet music with the raw, fluid energy of hip-hop culture. The framed original and matted prints will be available at my tour venue in Elk Grove, September 19 and 20.

The lone hiker represents not only the resilience it takes to face a steep climb, but also the courage it takes to stand at the edge of a new chapter and to look forward with hope. The original of Springtime in the Rockies (2026) was donated to the Blister Sisters Hiking group for a fundraiser supporting young women aging out of the foster care system. Matted prints will be available during the Sac Open Studio Tour at my venue in Elk Grove during Weekend 2.
